Update at 4:50 p.m. on July 3:
Ward 12 Coun. Joscelyne Landry-Altmann responded to Sudbury.com’s request for comment after this story was initially published.
She said Sudbury.com “jumped the gun” on the story and requested a retraction. She took umbrage with the story noting that she had not announced her intentions regarding the Oct. 26 civic election on social media and that we only learned about it through a post by Mayor Paul Lefebvre.
Landry-Altmann said that she did post an announcement on Facebook, but that she inadvertently made the post “private,” which made it impossible for people who aren't Facebook friends with her to see.
